Marine pollution monitoring network using UAV

The main objective of this project is to establish demonstration sites and to make use of Vessels tracking information network system to track vessels at sea. The establishment of UAV demonstration base increased the mobility of marine pollution monitoring. The site has a qualified runway, boardband RF link facilities and a clear air space. Those conditions make it an excellent operating environment. On the other hand, the Automatic Identification Systems (AIS) was introduced. An AIS receiver was installed in the UAV ground control station (GCS). The UAV now can obtain first-hand information of the the large vessels, and can achieve the goal of real time vessles tracking mission. In addition, there are many efforts to cooperate with National Airborne Service Crops (NASC). Now a standard operation procedure was distinguished to cooperate the helicopters of NASC when UAV and manned helicopters operate in the same air space.
